i 2nd this... hes been one rehab starts still, still at Double-A Bowie but sounds like hes been alright thus far...
so what about this now, JJ, Ray, Beaz... same problem we had at the begining of the season haha...
I still think Beaz will get dealt as he's too expensive to keep. Sherrill was traded, soon to be Grabow, and eventually team's will come calling on Beaz. Johnson will close only as long as Ray cannot imo. Ray has more talent and more upside, when helthy mind you, than Johnson and Johnson doesn't have experience closing yet in his career. Short-term = Johnson, Long-term = Ray.

Josh Bell is a power hitting 3B with 30-ish HR upside, but not a high average. He showed up this spring out of shape which makes his stock take a bit of a hit. Not sure about Johnson but he doesn't seem to be anything particularly special. Good K rate, average walk rate, and spent 3 1/2 years below AA before a recent promotion.
Rocinante2: you know Rocinante2: its easy to dismiss the orioles as a bad team ofanrex: go on Rocinante2: i'm done Rocinante2: lmao

Yeah, Bell is 22 right now and will likely be the heir to Mora at 3B for the Orioles as Rowell is looking more and more like a like a 1B/DH type of player.

Word is that Bell may not stick at third long-term either, but may eventually end up at first or in a corner OF spot.

Bell is a switch hitter who is teh sux vs LHP this year......(AA) 104 ABs, 0 HR, .212/.297/.269. But he murders RHP... 230 ABs, 11 HRs, .335/.425/.600
Obviously if he keeps that up he'll be a platoon-guy like Jason Kubel. Still valuable to have though.
BB/K is pretty decent too.
IMO Bell is a bit too much to pay for Sherrill.
Steve Johnson is a little bit more of a lottery ticket, he could end up as a decent reliever. Lots of Ks in his arm, but his HR/9 leaves a bit to be desired. Still only 21 too.

I'm reading that Sherrill will now set up Broxton... I'm guessing that means he will now hold the 8th inning slot by himself or will the Dodgers spread it around among Kuo, Troncoso, etc?
