Details are sketchy at this time but expect a breaking story shortly that David Ortiz has tested positive for PED's. It might be a good idea to pull the trigger, it's a gamble. This could be something like A-Rod's situation where it happened in the past and Ortiz could escape punishment, or he could have been busted just now.

agreed with this, and also thinking about the escape or not, think back to when Papi came out with those comments about how there should be harsher punishments for cheaters such as himself now... could be taken into consideration if anything comes of it... and since the ASB Harden has actually looked great compared to the first half, and over his last 4 starts his worst start was a 5IP 4ER outing against a powerful STL offense but the K rates have risen in the last 4 and given up only 6 ER combined in those 4 starts... i think now is the time to make this deal...

i'd do it. i'm not as worried about harden's inconsistency as his injury problems. if he stays healthy, i think you get the better of this deal.

19 IP, 8 H, 3 R, 2 ER, 2 BB, 21K... 2-0, 0.10 ERA, 0.53 WHIP

I agree absolutely terrible!

he wasn't that great in the 1st half but understand you take away his 2 worst starts (7 ER each) and his ERA drops big time and the cubs Offense wasn't clicking all that well in the 1st half with cold players and injuries, now its a new clean slate 2nd half with a healthy and heating up core of Soriano, Aram and DLee... look for alot more wins and better stats from Harden 2nd half... more valuable then a Big Papi who now has to deal with his tool a$$ comments about Roids earlier in the year and it now coming out that he did, how it effects him in real life (suspentions?) and mentally within himself...
