Another Lincecum for Miggy Cabrera deal? WHIR

Postby negcreep80 » Wed Jul 29, 2009 8:28 pm

Hey all, this guy really wants Lincecum...here is his most recent offer:

1B/3B Miguel Cabrera
1B Adrian Gonzalez
RP Heath Bell

for:

SP Tim Lincecum
1B/OF Kendry Morales
3B Aramis Ramirez

So once again, my dilemna is if Lincecum is a pretty even swap for Cabrera, are Gonzalez and Bell a better deal for me? A-Ram is always an injury concern but consistent when healthy. And Morales is a young talent, but I don't know if he'd be worth keeping. We can keep 3 players each season. Do I really need Bell since I've been getting saves from Capps, Franklin, and Bailey this year? Offense has been a trouble this season (currently in last place), but has sort of come around now that my guys are all healthy. Do I need to make this trade?

I'm in a Yahoo, H2H keeper league with 12 teams.

Offensive categories are R, RBI, HR, BB, K, FPct, BA, OPS, NSB...Pitching categories are W, L, CG, BB, K, WHIP, ERA, NSV

No deal.

I'd need a better player than Bell. But to be honest, the only way I give up Lincecum is if I don't have to give up Aramis. That's the only way this is worthwhile to me. Miggy is not enough of an upgrade over Aramis to justify losing Lincecum.

ok first off, your statement about Aram "is always an injury concern" is BS... he injured his shoulder and hes over it guy has averaged 145 games over the past 8 years i think hes pretty healthy... but anyways moving on, i would shoot this down in a heart beat and tell the guy hes ignorant... way i look at it...

Lincy>>Miggy
Morales=Adrian
Aram>>Bell

dude Kenrdy is batting .300 with 20 dingers and 60 rbi himself, so this guy wants you to pay for 8 more HR and 2 less RBI and an average about 50 points lower in A-Gon?? DUMB... point #2 Miggy is STRUGGLING as is the whole Tiger's Offense, hes something like .113 with runners in scoring position since late May, aside from the 4 RBI night a night ago he had 16 in 49 Games, compared to the value (draft round wise) of Lincecum whos eating people alive!! and then theres Bell who IMO isn't that great of a closer to begin with... the whole deal favors him more then the names say... don't do it!!!

help me out...(bottom of 2nd page)

Isn't Kendry likely to be older than his listed age? And wouldn't a young Cabrera still be a better bet than even the best SP?

If you could knock off the Bell/Aramis part or get something substantial back there--such as a SP to cover your loss, as he is asking for Aramis back to cover 3B--it becomes something to ponder then. That's the key. With Bell in, it's a no. With Youk for 3rd next year, you could afford to give up ARam. It just has to be more than Bell.

The trades isn't bad but you don't really need to fill a hole in you 1b or 3b. I would stay with what you have.

Please Help me ...

I would reject that trade. You aren't really upgrading and your pitching couldn't withstand the loss of Lincecum.

Help with mine?
