As many readers have noted, Carlos Carrasco, Jason Donald and Lou Marson aren't in the lineup for the Phillies' Triple A team this afternoon. It could be a coincidence, but it's of interest at least, since all are possible trade candidates and Carrasco was expected to start.

They'd need to give up Rollins, Howard and Utley to get Halladay anyways.
Yeah, presumably the fourth piece in a trade like that would be one of Drabek, Happ, or Brown, and I doubt one of those guys with Carrasco/Donald/Marson would be enough to get Halladay. I wouldn't think it would be enough for Lee, either, but it does seem kind of strange that Carrasco got the day off when he was scheduled to start.
This also happened last week, though, with Kyle Kendrick, and people speculated he may have been part of a trade, but he was actually just being called up to pitch out of the Phils bullpen.
I have to say I'd really rather Halladay in this instance, not really buying cliff lee.
It's kind of like buying a stereo or car or something. Most of the cost is getting to the point of being able to afford one in the first place. If one is like 10 percent more, but the one that would really make you happy, you should really just get that one, because the bulk of the cost is going to apply in either case.
