yahoo waiver claim error

im confused over an error message im getting in trying to put in a waiver claim on a player i dropped yesturday.
this is a 27 player league. yesturday i dropped Nolan Reimold from my bench to pick up Andy Marte. i wish i had dropped Dallas Braden instead, and now want to add Reimold (clears waivers tomorrow) and drop Braden.
when i get to the screen with the 2 players it says the usual message

Note: If successful, this waiver claim will be reflected on your lineup for Thursday, Jul 30. If you've set your lineup in advance for future dates, please note those changes will be reset to match your lineup for the day this player is added.

then when i click "Add this player" i get this message..

There was a problem

* You cannot pick up this player until he clears waivers. (Error #245)

what is the deal with that? because i am the one who dropped i cant be the one to add him before clearing waivers?

its a deep league but im sure Reimold will still likely be available in the morning after clearning waivers, but im currently on waiver priority #12 anyway so it wouldnt have been a big deal to use a claim on him.

You can't claim a guy you've dropped. He must clear through all other teams, then you can pick him up.

is this something recently new?
i could have sworn at one time the day you dropped someone you had the ability to still re add that player before they even went to the waiver system thing.
or is it that if you pick up someone one day and drop him the same day someone else can still add that player?

It's the latter.

in yahoo you have to wait until your dropped player clears waivers to re-add him, even if you have the 1 waiver.

A player does not go into waivers if you hold him for a short amount of time, believe same day as in if I pick up Reimold as a FA then say I see soemone else i like better in 4 hours and cut Reimold for him, Reimold does NOT go into waivers. That may be the loophole you are thinking of.

ESPN and CBS allow you to waiver claim your own cut waiver players but Yahoo does not.
