Well this season he has a .251 BABIP compared to .315 and .304 the past two years. He also has a strand rate of 82.9% compared to 73.4% and 75.9% the past two years. So, what youre calling the "annual second half slide," is likely on its way.

Not sure what it is, but it's been that way for 3 straight years now. He's been a first half stud, and not so much in the 2nd half. I thought with the move to the NL last year, that maybe it wouldn't be that way, but sure enough he was much worse. Now don't get me wrong, he still had plenty of very good starts in there last year, he just had quite a few stinkers as well. I traded him right before the All Star break and that was a factor in my decision to do it. I still think he's a top 15 SP the rest of the year, he just won't be #2 like he was in the first half.
