Get Jeter Drop Inge??? Need trade help! WHIR!!!

Hey all,

I was proposed this offer in one of my leagues and want to hit accept but just wanted to run it by you all first and see if it is the right decision.

I was offered D.Jeter/B.McCaan for my B.Inge/A.Lind

I could use the help at catcher since Inge is iffy for the remainder of the year and has sucked since the AllStar break! I also have Barmes currently at SS and could use the upgrade. My main question is how will this McCaan guy fair over Inge for the rest of the year?

The funny thing with this offer is that I originally proposed to him my (Inge, Uggla, Huff, Barmes) for his (McCann, Jeter) and he turned it down and came back with this one!!!

I originally gave him more fire power and he didn't want that one but he does want this!!!....lol (and there is plenty of nice OF's on the WW so no biggy)!

As for the trade you offered vs the one he countered with. I would much rather have Lind then the rest of that trash you offered him. (uggla, huff, barmes) Because like you said there are plenty of good players on the wire, why would he want to take on a bunch of waiver wire material players?

Well......actually I stated that there were plenty of OF's on the WW.....as far as the other positions then, well, pretty scarce!

Not saying there isn't anything and right now....."Today", there are some that are outproducing those guys (Uggla/Huff) but that's only due to them being in a huge, HUGE slump! If they were on their normal game (which should come soon) they they will be back on and definately worth it!

Plus the fact that he seriously is in major need of a 2B/3B and the fact that his currentl 2B/3B are weaker then Huff/Uggla then I would say it was a stupid mistake on his part!

Good for me though......I saved those backups and only had to give up Lind (who is slumping hard right now himself)!!
