Napoli for Cantu?

Postby rwdiii » Mon Jul 27, 2009 8:39 pm

Roster below. Got spurned by drafting Atkins at 3B. Currently have Encarnacion but he hasn't exactly been tearing it up. I've been starting Napoli at C with Vlad on the DL since he's been DHing but have Posada at C as well. Is Cantu an upgrade over Edwin Encarnacion? Would you trade Napoli for Cantu? WHIR always. My roster below. Thank you!

12 team, standard 5x5

C Mike Napoli
1B Ryan Howard
2B Brandon Phillips
SS Derek Jeter
3B Edwin Encarnacion
OF Nick Markakis
OF Curtis Granderson
OF Josh Hamilton
UTIL Ben Zobrist
BN Michael Bourn
BN Jorge Posada
DL Lance Berkman

SP James Shields
SP Felix Hernandez
RP Huston Street
RP J.P. Howell
P L. Nunez
P C.J. Wilson
P Adam Wainwright
BN Matt Garza
DL Eric Bedard

Since you have Posada, I'd definitely look to try and upgrade at 3B. IMO, Posada wins out at C over Napoli due to hitting in the launching pad in NYC.

Another homer for Napoli.....that's 4 dongs he's gotten for me in the last week. I know he's going to lose time once Vlad gets back since scoscia values defense behind the dish so much....seems crazy with the power Naps seems to have....decisions decisions....

Eh I think i'd make this move and give you another 3b option. When EE cools off he'll be ww fodder before too long and Cantu can step in nicely. What 3bs are fas?
