Hamilton's keeper value

Postby wkpdpack » Mon Jul 27, 2009 8:09 pm

12 team keeper league (keep 7 each yr.), 5x5 roto scoring, currently 12 pts. out of the money with a trading deadline of July 31. I'm concerned whether Hamilton will provide me with the stats I need the rest of the year or if I should deal him. I feel my current keepers right now would include Hamilton, but also think I have enough I could find 7 keepers although my bottom 2 might not be the greatest. So, I'm looking to get decent value in return since I'm really trading a keeper.

Fellow owner started by offering Broxton for I. Stewart and Gaby Sanchez. I knew he had been interested in Hamilton so I asked if he still was and he sent an offer of Broxton, L Scott and Werth for Hamilton and Sanchez.

I'm thinking of countering with Rios, Werth and Broxton for Hamilton and Sanchez. Is that enough value in return for dealing away a keeper? Post any other offers you think I should propose. If he makes me include I. Stewart should I still just try to get Rios, Werth and Broxton?

My team:
C Iannetta, Molina
1B Howard
2B Roberts
3B ARam
SS Drew
MI Uggla
CI Morneau
OF Braun, Kemp, Hamilton, Granderson, Stewart
U Blalock
P Bell, Baker, Greinke, Jurrjens, Lee, Millwood, Wandy, KRod, Scherzer
Bench: Kuroda, Arroyo, Marquis
DL: F. Francisco

Players of interest from his team:
Hunter
Rios
Fuentes
Broxton
Werth
Pedroia
Chipper
Cantu
Scott
Andrus
Beckham
Chipper
DeRosa
Harden
Branyon

I might be inclined to keep werth over hamilton anyway. hamilton has proven to fragile.

so I'd be happy with broxton and werth for hamilton. I think its a steal both short and long term. Rios is a nice bonus but you are already getting the best of him.
