Aaron Hill + Max Scherzer for Matt Holliday

Postby activechamp2006 » Mon Jul 27, 2009 5:37 pm

I give Aaron Hill + Max Scherzer for Matt Holliday. Value based how does the deal look? The trade fits my team perfect, just not sure if i'm giving up too much. Especially with Reyes coming back soon, he can easily take over Hill's spot at UTIL.

This is a 16 team ROTO Keeper league. We keep 6 players.

Not a bad trade, but I'd try and get a pitcher back if you feel like you're giving up too much. Oh and FYI, I wouldn't necessarily count Reyes as coming back so fast.... knowing the Mets, I'd like to see hime get consistent playing time before I count him as "back." :-P

I think this is a good deal for you. It would be worth trying to get a down pitcher with some upside out of it. Scherzer has been pitching well, so you could probably score something.

as a holliday owner, i wouldn't do this trade. but this is amazing if you pull it off. even if you don't get a sp in return, consider this a major steal! you can easily make up scherzers numbers on the WW

I may be going out on a limb here trevizzle, but I'm guessing you play in an 8 team league. In a 16 team league NO WAY you find scherzer caliber pitching on the wire. I think the deal is a good start at talks but you are giving up a little too much, shoot for a pitcher in return and see how he responds.
