Closer Speculation WHIR

Postby pappymojo » Mon Jul 27, 2009 11:52 am

The following free agents are available in my league. Should I make a move on one of them based on speculation that a closing job might open up for them either through a trade or through an injury?

Thornton
Dotel
Grabow
Rauch
Gregerson (I have Heath Bell so this would be a hand cuff)

My team:

C Martin
1B Garret Jones (filling in for Berkman)
2B Alexei
3B Aramis
SS Rollins
OF - C Lee, Adam Jones, Corey Hart
Util - S Choo
Bench - N Morgan (OF), Wieters

SP - Stacked
RP - Fuentes, Heath Bell, Howell

I would be dropping Morgan for a closer.

Rauch would be the best speculative add in case Qualls gets traded.

I wouldn't be in a hurry to pick up any of those guys. I'd stick with what you have yet.
