I think with a little luck this trade could work out for you. Trading for wins is usually impossible. Even if Jackson pitches 40 straight scoreless innings, the Tigers could score no runs and he ends up with great ratios and no wins.

That being said, you will be left with Soria, Valverde, Sherrill and Downs, so I think you can comfortably make this trade. Go for it.

If you have the time, a little help with mine?

yep, i'd do this for sure. you have other solid closers, but not so many starting pitchers. jackson is a stud.

I don't see Jackson getting close to 10 more wins this yr, since he only has 12-13 starts left, and Sherrill / Downs / Valverde might well get traded soon, I'd at least wait 'till the trade deadline passes before I made any move involving closers, and when you do, you'll most likely have to move 2 of them to get your win totals up.

No reason not to. You closers are still solid without Hoffman and E. Jackson should give you a nice boost to your starting pitching.
