A trade was proposed and accepted in our league, and I vetoed it. I haven't ever vetoed before, but this looked like a clear case of collusion. One of these teams (the one that got the clearly winning side) is in 3rd place, the other is in 7th. Both have it out for the team in 1st place - for one it's a personal dislike, for the other it's a fantasy dislike. In any case, the 1st place team pulled off a trade earlier this week that had some people upset (he got A-Rod for Zobrist/Nathan/Morgan), and so this looked like clear retaliation to me (aka the 3rd place team and 7th place team conspiring to try and knock the 1st place team out).
In any case, here was the trade:
Utley/Kemp/Halladay/Helton for Reynolds/Lind/Gallardo/Hart/Kendrick
Basically, one team was giving up his three best players (Utley/Kemp/Halladay) and the other team was giving up two productive players (Reynolds/Lind) and three guys who have been absolute garbage.
I feel pretty confident, but I NEVER veto trades. I just wanted some input.
