I have been in need of a closer all season, and attempts at getting a middle tier guy have been a failure. An owner proposed this to me last night: I give: Fielder, Gallardo and Hanson I get: ARod, Mariano.
That seems pretty steep to me, but I think my only weakness heading into the stretch is RP (I only have Street). What would you guys counter with to make it work? He is not interested in Howard or MCab. OR stay put and work the WW during the upcoming trading deadline frenzy?

i agree... it's too steep a price to pay. i'd offer howard plus hanson for arod and mariano. i think that's fair. if he rejects, then take the offer to another owner who could use howard. i'd keep fielder over howard for sure.
