Holliday traded

To the cards

"Holliday has been traded to the Cardinals, ESPN's Buster Olney reports. ESPN's Tim Kurkjian reported on Thursday that the two sides were close to an agreement. While details of the trade are currently unavailable, Brett Wallace, Shane Peterson and Clayton Mortensen were believed to be the package headed to Oakland in Kurkjian's report on Thursday." Rotowire

How does this effect Ludwick? I know he plays right and Holliday plays left, but given LaRusa's track record this year of switching up the lineup, does this hurt Ludwick?

Ludwick might move down the lineup a spot or two but he's still going to play everyday.

So, does Holliday play tonight for St Louis? I'm thinking probably, considering that it is right down Rte 95 from New York to Philedelphia that he has to go. They should be able to get him a new uniform by tonight.

From what I've heard on multiple Cardinals messages boards is that Holliday is playing tonight, wearing #15 and is hitting 4th in the lineup.

I think Matt's stock just rose quite a bit.

Looks like Matt is smiling more and thus happy to be in STL, contending, with some major bats in the lineup around him, (Giambi's prime couldn't hold Pujols' jock :-] )....I think he is as relieved as all of his fantasy owners and I think he'll produce very well over the next couple of weeks.

That being said, if Pujols was putting up MVP numbers with lessor guys batting around him in the lineup, how will he fare with Holliday, DeRosa, Lugo, *healthy* Ludwick? Even Ankiel could put up some serious numbers in this lineup.

Gotta ask, Pujols&Holliday or Arod&Texieria?
(this last part is just a ramble)

The Pujols Holliday vs Arod Teix is as close to a wash as it gets.
I think I'd have to side with Mr. Holliday and Pujols.
