So who is the big loser(s) in the STL OF? Ankiel? Probably Rasmus gets spelled a bit more too?

Mega FAIL and death to La Russa? :-?

I'm not saying they will or won't, just wondering.

It depends. If the Cards sign Holliday and are using these next 2 months as a "St Louis is an amazing baseballs city you'd be crazy to leave" strategy (aka the McGwire pitch) it would lessen the blow.

Now if the Cards don't make the play-offs and Holliday walks, then yes they gave up too much to get 2 first round picks next year.
...Boston papers now and then suffer a sharp flurry of arithmetic on this score; indeed, for Williams to have distributed all his hits so they did nobody else any good would constitute a feat of placement unparalleled in the annals of selfishness. -Updike

Holliday allegedly has a house in Angels territory somewhere and wants to play there.
With Vlad coming off the books they will have the dough to sign him.
Should be very interesting to watch this "winter". :-L

If I had any skills, TLR's face would've been on that cat, and the wording would have been redone.

Yep heard on ESPN he's slated to bat 4th tonight.

Guess this means the Braves cant add Holliday to the lineup to help. Kinda wonder which route they can go now, Atkins? Ankiel? Swisher?
