I wouldn't call 27 old, but you do have a point. 2 yrs ago, when he first came up, he was touted inthe same vein as H Blalock. They both failed miserably in their first year and both played well last year.
Ensberg has never been touted like Blalock, never. Ensberg was 5 years older his rookie year. Ensberg has 30 hr power, but at 27, his ceiling was probably his 1st half last year.
You make it sound like that's a bad thing. We are not owners of Major league baseball teams. I could care less if he hit his ceiling and will never achieve .330/40/120. We are fantasy owners. Maybe at 27 last year was his ceiling. But, how many 3B have that ceiling. He proved last year he could hit 30HR. I'll take .290/30/90-100 any day from my 3B. To me, those numbers compare favorably to any other 3B int he game.
