I only have one 1b Berkman who is hurt. I have been playing Figgins at 3rd for speed and Aram has been on the bench. I looking for another 1st baseman. I have beeen offered Adrian Gonzalez straight up for Aram. Or Big Papi and Kazmir for Aram.

Well, it seems like it should be obviously A-Gon, but wow...he's sucked lately. In the last month, he's ranked nearly 600 spots lower than Ortiz. And I think he keeps sucking, too - no one to protect him, no one on to knock in...yikes. Ortiz is in a great lineup with protection and runners always on - makes for a better deal for you. And if Kazmir somehow turns it around, you make out doubly.

what 1b are available on your wire? gonzalez for ramirez is the most intriguing of the two deals, but adrian's lack of support concerns me greatly.

Thanks for the response to my post!

I kind of like the Gonzo for Aramis trade and a couple of months ago I would have said this would be a no brainer but like the others said Gonzo has been terrible as of late and has no support so not sure I would pull that one unless you Really badly need a 1B and you have faith that Gonzo will return to the beginning of the season form. (If not then check the WW for a fill-in sub 1B man)

As far as the ARAM for Ortiz/Kaz.....absolutely Not!!! Kaz is horrible (I just dropped him to the WW in my league) and I just don't see him making any changes this year. Ortiz is not bad but this year he is no where close to being the same value as ARAM.

so....I would make the trade for Gonzo or try hitting the WW depending on your gut feeling with the Gonzo turn around!

Good Luck!

Not a BIG fan of either....but I may be biased, but no one has any reason to pitch to the guy....go get Tex while he's "affordable"

I would do A-Gon for ARam. Berk will be back in couple weeks but Gonz a good alternative in case Berk calf is worse. You won't be starting Gonz that much anyway. I didn't see a backup 1b.

I agree with AGON for ARAM, Kaz has been frustrating and your league would be the first I have heard that has Papi eligible at a postion other than UTIL.

if i had to take one it would be Agon, but i like the thought of just hitting the Waiver Wire first...

and about Papi, if im not mistaken all of yahoo's baseball leagues have him available at 1B he has played 6 games at first this year and 7 last year, so why are you so surprised?

help me out...
