Dynasty Dilemma???

The trade is my Beckham and Pence for his Ibanez, Beltran, and Smoak. The only thing I'm worried about is an OF log jam, but I could always trade Hunter and Ibanez to a contender for an ace, right? So should I do this?

I would do it. Since you're trading for beltran in a dynasty league I assume you're giving up on this season. The good news is you can move Ibanez to a contender this year for a really good young pitcher or some SS prospects and avoid OF log jam. Ibanez has a lot of value to people trying to win now.

I also like this move because it opens 3B for sandoval next year, he should lose his catcher eligibility right?

If beltran comes back healthy and is playing well next year you should be able to deal him midseason for a haul.

Based on the youth of your team especially your pitching, my guess is that next year you will be pretty good. But the summer of 2011 will be great. Barring injuries you should consider how trades help you next year but more importantly how will they help you win a championship in 2011. That looks to be the year things come together in a big way.

i agree i would do the deal, yes you lose Beckham, but im not a big fan of your other piece in Pence anyways for a 'top of the order' type guy his average is a killer... not to mention yeah then you can swing Ibanez for a big arm and you still have a ton of youth on your squad to boot... good trade on your part! and Smoak is gonna be a stud!

So I ended up doing the trade and I'm looking for contenders to deal Ibanez to so would Ibanez and Theriot get me Clay Buchholz and Stephen Drew or could I get more or have to settle for less?
