2010 keeper trades WHIR

Postby briane » Wed Jul 22, 2009 10:46 pm

So, I think my best six keepers are as follows (7 team AL Only, we keep 3) with the following prices:

Shin-Soo Choo (13)
Russell Branyan (6)
Matt Garza (17)
Andrew Bailey or Scott Downs (6)
Nick Markakis (35) or Jason Bay (33)
Matt Wieters (17)
Felix Hernandez (30)

I am thinking of trading for better keepers. Do any of these get onto my list, or are my keepers better?
Aaron Hill (6)
Kendry Morales (6)
Erik Bedard (16)
Jered Weaver (11)
Ricky Romero (6
Mark Buehrle (10)
John Lackey (15)
Zach Greinke (13)
Evan Longoria (17)

I'd easily take Longoria, Greinke, and Hill at the listed prices over any of the following:

Andrew Bailey or Scott Downs (6)
Shin-Soo Choo (13)
Russell Branyan (6)
Matt Garza (17)

Completely agree. Ive not done auctions leagues before, so I will admit to not being an expert. But this seems to be exactly my thoughts.

Longoria. He's the best keeper there.

I will try for him, but I think Longoria may be impossible to get. Any others?

I like Choo as a keeper but from the list you provided these stand out as great value. I think Felix Hernandez is a better pitcher than Grienke, but Grienke is so much cheaper.

I will make a couple of offers for Hill and Greinke (Longoria is pretty much unavailable no matter what I offered). How about these pitchers in case one of those deals doesn't work out, or as a third keeper? I was thinking Lackey or Weaver might be worth it, but not more than Choo?

Ricky Romero (6)
John Lackey (15)
Mark Buehrle (10)
Jered Weaver (11)
Victor Martinez (18)
Nick Swisher (10)
Cliff Lee (13)

I would have to agree. I never been in an auction draft but these guys seem like good values. I don't think you can get Longo with his price. Thanks for the help with mine.
