What to do with Duchscherer & Volquez?

Postby Knighthammer » Wed Jul 22, 2009 12:03 pm

Both should be coming off DL soon. I've done well without them (1st place overall). My worst pitching cats are W & K, my worst offensive cats are HR & AVG. As they come off DL do I automatically keep them & drop others or maybe try to trade them now to help my off. cats?

I dont see what youd be able to get back. Both have missed huge amounts of time and i dont see a whole lotta value for either right now.

Sit tight and see how they go in their first coupla starts. Then if they pitch solidly, dangle them then and see if anyone bites

With how Maholm pitched today, and the ups and downs of Price, who knows they might be worth hangin onto

I agree. You probably aren't going to get much for them unless they come out of the gates smoking. And then you probably have other guys you will want to move first.
