This = Jones to 1B, LMill called up to fill the roster spot (assuming the deal is for a prospect(s)). Time to grab Milledge if you haven't already, IMO.

LF - L.Milledge (will hit second when Sanchez moves)
SS - J.Wilson (next to be traded)

Perhaps Pichardo is involved. He has had some serious maturity issues in Single A.

What are the Red Sox planning on doing with LaRoche? Platooning him with Lowell and having Youkilis play 1B/3B?

Maybe this means Lowell's hip problems are serious again. There was talk of this a couple of weeks ago. :-?

I'd say so. Youk will move between 1B and 3B depending on Lowell's health and that day's matchup. And like Aussie said, this may be a sign of a possible setback with Lowell.

Pearce has been waiting for 2 years for LaRoche to go away and now that he is Garrett Jones has emerged as the likely replacement. Is Pearce ever going to be able to get consistent ABs?

Boston radio is speculating that Manny DelCarmen has been traded to the Bucs in exchange for LaRoche. Not sure I like that deal at all.

A platoon with LaRoche and Lowell would probably be a good thing for the Sox after losing Lowell like they did last year. At least this year, they will have a better option to play first then Kotsay.
