M. Teahen

Postby kid sox » Wed Jul 22, 2009 8:23 am

Any KC Royals followers out there that can help me? Is M. Teahen a reasonable trade target for an AL Only league?? Third base is extremely shallow and I've had a hole since Beltre went on the DL. I've been making due with Wigginton but he only plays part-time. I'm thinking of offering up Millwood.

Any help out there?

You should be able to get more for Millwood with the way he's been pitching, but I like Teahen, he's looked pretty consistant. The only question is playing time. Alex Gordon is back at third...Billy Butler has played well, not sure if he's playing first or DH right now.

Thanks for the reply.

I also would think I could get more for Millwood, especially in a AL-only league with a 1500 inning limit. Surprisingly there is a lack of interest, everyone is assuming he is going to blow up. There is also the issue that there are just a handful of teams that have a third baseman to trade.

i'm not a royals fan, but i don't know why teahen doesn't get more attention in fantasy. i've had him since week 1 or 2 of the season, and he's been mr. consistent. he has 4 position eligibility in my league and has maintained right at a .300 avg. he plays everyday, and right now, he's playing 1B. i think he's worth a spot. i think millwood might be too much for him, just b/c teahen hasn't been noticed as he should. try to get him cheaper. i don't think you'd be disappointed.
