for a 10 team league your pitching is very weak. id take this deal if he gives you a better pitcher than shields.

Everyones pitching is a little weak, one guy drafted this:

now maybe I trade with him

Josh Beckett
Tim Lincecum
Jonathan Papelbon
J.P. Howell
Andrew Bailey
Joakim Soria
Ramon Troncoso
Yovani Gallardo
Roy Halladay
Cole Hamels
Johan Santana
Zack Greinke

id also consider trading for pitching when Vlad and/or Beltran come back

That's not a totally unreasonable counter offer, but I highly doubt that the other manager will go for it. Even though I'm not totally buying into choo, their overall rankings are probably in the same ballpark. However, the mater of position scarcity makes Young much more valuable. There are a lot of outfielders that can give you Choo-like numbers in the OF, but there aren't many 3B's or SS's of Young'd caliber. I highly doubt the other guy will give up Young unless he gets a 3B or SS in return.

By the way, why is McCuthen starting over Choo?
