I guess I'm the only one here who wouldn't make this trade... First off, you are not getting full value for either Carlos Quentin or Aram, as they both have just returned from long DL stints, and have yet to prove they can really produce... which could also be the reason you are eager to trade them. Secondly, Hamels has been absolutely terrible this year. For me, Hamels is the dealbreaker. If he had any sort of consistency I might say make this trade. Pena's BA is always a concern, and Jones has been good as of late but who knows if he will stay that way being a 28 year old rookie. If Aram and CQ turn it around and settle in, you might be kicking yourself for this one.

I agree with most of the others. Decent deal but leaves you with a hole in your OF. If you can get another serviceable OF in the deal then pull the trigger.

how about if i get can him to throw in scott hairston as well (or instead of jones)? its a very deep league (30 man rosters) so there's no decent hitters on waivers.

hairston would make it better.

Id go with Hairston as well over Jones. Jones has been raking and will be moved to 1B after the Laroche trade which more than likely will make room for Milledge whos prolly gonna come up shortly (helping you out if he can get his head outta his arse), but Hairston has shown hes doin fine in OAK, and as a team theyve been raking of late.

Hamels should be fine solidifying your rotation
