Lincecum for a 3B??? **WHIR**

Postby JeepCop » Tue Jul 21, 2009 8:13 am

10 team H2H Re-draft standard scoring league. Is 3B my glaring weakness and does it warrant trading Lincecum for a 3B?
I'm currently in next to last place, but I've won my last three games. Should I sit tight with Lincecum or try to make a move? :-S

My roster-

C Brian McCann (Atl - C)
1B Derrek Lee (ChC - 1B)
2B Brandon Phillips (Cin - 2B)
3B Chipper Jones (Atl - 3B)
SS Hanley Ramírez (Fla - SS)
OF Ryan Braun (Mil - OF)
OF Shane Victorino (Phi - OF)
OF Nate McLouth (Atl - OF)
Util David Ortiz (Bos - 1B)

RESERVES-
Edwin Encarnación (Cin - 3B)
Casey McGehee (Mil - 2B,3B)
Hunter Pence (Hou - OF)

PITCHERS-
P Tim Lincecum (SF - SP)
P Cole Hamels (Phi - SP)
P Clayton Kershaw (LAD - SP)
P Ricky Nolasco (Fla - SP)
P Randy Wolf (LAD - SP)
P Carlos Zambrano (ChC - SP)
P Manny Parra (Mil - SP)
RP Brian Wilson (SF - RP)
RP J.P. Howell (TB - RP)

DEpends who you can get for Lincecum. I'll always take a stud everyday starter over a stud pitcher.

Help me too? viewtopic.php?t=394123

You may be able to get A-Rod for him. If not, you could settle for Youkilis, or even Figgins if you needed runs and steals. Not the traditional skill set for a 3B, but valuable nonetheless.

Help with mine? viewtopic.php?t=394124

if its Longoria or Wright, but Chipper isn't a glaring weakness and McGhee is doing good as well, what #B are on waivers, if Gordon is, I would drop Encarnacion for him and play him when he starts to get hot.

help with mine?

I've seen Lince traded for ARod and also for Wright this season and I'm not sure the guys getting the hitters won those deals. I don't think you are terrible at 3B with Chipper but at this stage of the season, on you are only going to get 13-14 more starts from Lincecum anyway, so trade him for an ARod Cabrera type if you can.

I would personally stick with the Lincecum/Chipper duo.

Thanks guys. I'm still torn here, but I'm leaning towards seeing what I can get for Lince.
