12 team 5x5 mixed keeper. Kershaw and either Rasmus or Fowler for Shields and Markakis.
Kershaw , Rasmus and Fowler all can be kept three more years after this year. Markakis can be kept one more year and Shields can be kept two more years.
Which would you rather have have?

Shields/Markakis
if youre playing for this year have to take what markakis will give in the 2nd half along with Shields for this year and next year
if you dont have a shot, I wouldnt do it

Thanks for the reply . But aren't we over valuing Shields and even Markakis? What has Shields really done? He pitches in a tough division. he has been hit hard in several games over the last month.Same with Markakis. He has come out of the break with some hits and a hr but is he reallt the stud we thought he would be?

I think Markakis has proven himself..I wish I could get him in leagues I am in but people still want a lot..I think Shields has done it enough as well and has had trouble here and there but if youre playing for right now I dont see what Kershaw and Rasmus or Fowler have proven to me to put the faith in them..just my 2 cents

shields and markakis and it's not close. the big deal with shields is even after getting knocked around by KC has a sub 4 era, sub 1.3 whip and solid strikeout ratio.
hook em horns, go stros
