why is there no talk of FraGu at the cafe?

after a slow start to the season, the guy is breaking out right in front of our eyes and nobody seems to care or notice?

I picked him up after your mention in the "unsung all-stars" post, and have been loving him for the past seven or eight games.

Hes only on pace to go 80R 20 HR 70 RBI 10 SB's and hit .290. While these are good numbers hes on fire right now and probably wont continue at this pace. Definitely a good guy to grab in deeper leagues but he just doesn't come across as anything too special to me.

Yep. His blistering hot streak recently has him "on pace" for average 3-4OF numbers. I doubt he hits even that with that lineup. I'll pass.

i guess it's all relative to the depth of the league you're in, i usually play in leagues where some 400 guys are drafted. but yeah there are a lot of people playing standard sized leagues, and i suppose he's a borderline option.

Yea in a league that deep hes a good find. I play in a 12 team league so we draft 300 guys and I picked Gutierrez up about a week ago but even with his crazy hot streak he only has 11 HR and 5 SB. He could put up solid numbers in the second half but nothing eye-popping. Maybe he'll prove me wrong?? :-?

Those of you in the shallow leagues (8-12 teams) shouldn't need to consider him. Those playing in 14+ team leagues should be paying attention. He is definitely #4 OF material there.
