He is looking good in his early comeback...It actually won't be too long as the Braves do want him to pitch in 5 or 6 games before he makes his comeback but if you need a SP, you better pick him up now and stowe him away cause he wont be available long...He is gonna be a steal of a pitcher IMO.....

Read something earlier yesterday that suggested he's about 5-6 weeks away from his season debut. That puts him around late august or early september. A start or 2 to shake the rust off and you've got 3-5 potentially good starts. I guess it depends on your league (NL-only or mixed, h2h or roto), but in a standard roto league I see no reason to rush and grab him this far out from when he's likely to contribute something useful unless u have a bench/dl spot you're not using.

Braves right-hander Tim Hudson, recovering from Tommy John surgery, threw 91 to 93 mph and topped out at 94 in his first rehabilitation start.

Hudson says his last rehab appearance is scheduled for Aug. 15, meaning he could be back in the Braves' rotation by Aug. 20.

A strong finish by Hudson could leave the Braves with an interesting choice. They could exercise Hudson's $12 million option and trade righty Javier Vazquez, who is set to earn $11.5 million in 2010.

looks like 2 more outings and we could potentially see Hudson back in the majors if all goes well, of course he will be on a pitch count but will be good to see him...snatch and stash if you need a playoff arm and hes still around for some reason...

RHP Tim Hudson (Tommy John surgery) pitched four innings on his latest rehab assignment, August 13 with Class AAA Gwinnett. He was scheduled to go five innings, up to 60 pitches, but had reached 63 pitches after four innings. He was pleased with his split-finger fastball -- clocked anywhere between 90 and 93 mph -- and his cutter, which hit 87 to 89 mph. Hudson is expected to need at least two more starts; the goal is to build up to 90 pitches.
