Drop a part-time closer to pick up Gordon? WHIR

Postby SumG » Fri Jul 17, 2009 11:22 am

Simple question, should I drop Leo Nunez (or someone else) to pick up Alex Gordon, just off the DL? I'd like to have a viable backup from Aramis Ramirez in case the injury issues linger.

12-team 6x6 H2H league (+OBP,QS)

C-McCann
1B - Berkman
2B - Figgins
SS - Furcal
3B - Ar. Ramirez
MI - Kendrick
CI - Pena
OF - Hamilton, Kemp, McLouth, Span
Util - Ludwick
Bn - Morgan, Doumit

SP - Hamels, Oswalt, Carpenter, Gallardo, Nolasco, Harden, Price
RP - Bell, Francisco, Howell, Nunez

how many players in your league? I think I would just because Nunez really wont get you too much and gordon has the potential. There is the injury risk, having 2 guys with magor injury issues could be problamatic.

Yeah, you should do it. A-Ram is having power issues, and has admitted that the strength isn't quite 100%. Dropping Leo isn't too much of a sacrifice to back up 3B with a guy who has upside. Do it.

I don't think Nunez has that much value. I'd do it.

Id drop Nunez for Gordon. Nunez isn't that great, and when Matt Lindstrom comes back Nunez might get bumped from closing. If Gordon start fulfilling his potential he would be a huge pickup for you.
