Should I pick up DeRosa? 1 million % WHIR!!!

Hey all,

Really need your help here. In a 12 team Standard Yahoo H2H league (10CAT 5X5)....I am currently and have always been 1st place but everyone has been biting at my heals in the rankings.

I feel my weakest position is at SS and I just heard the news that M.DeRosa should be coming off the DL and playing within days now. Someone had dropped him to the WW a couple weeks ago and I am wondering if I should pick him up and if so then who should I drop? Thanks and I will absolutely help you if needed!

(On a side note....Barmes is available too if he would be better)......I was thinking of dropping J.Rivera (I just picked him up but I feel I don't need 6 OF's...lol), or K.Wood (since I have 4 RP's)....should I go with those or someone else?

Anyone with some advice here? I really need some help immediately as I don't know how long DeRosa might stay on the WW with the news saying he will be playing in the next couple of days.

I would drop Rivera for DeRosa. DeRosa has to have some value hitting near Pujols, and you definitely could use the help that he will provide.

Thanks for the help guys.....since I don't have many SP's though I figure I would drop Rivera for him, place DeRosa on the DL spot, and then pick up another SP until I see how DeRosa pans out and how he does for a couple games and all.

What do you think about that?

Also, which SP do you think I should grab in the meantime?

FA SP's: F.Liriano, J.Saunders, R.Wolf, J.Smoltz, N.Blackburn, A.Cook, C.Volstad, G.Meche, R.Porcello, J.Pineiro (that's pretty much it for the WW that I can see unless there is an unowned gem out there?)

I agree to drop Rivera for DeRosa. Hitting behind Pujols should give him plenty of RBI ops.

As far as the SP goes, from that group I like Cook. He's a pretty solid option and he was good last night while Volstad got beaten up by the champs. Liriano has all that potential, but you never know with him... Smoltz will probably be good too, but they're so overstocked with SPs in Boston that you dont even know how much he'll pitch.
