Damon vs. Kazmir

Postby skjelstrom » Thu Jul 16, 2009 11:39 pm

I'm giving up Damon for Kazmir. In doing this I would have to replace Damon with Kubel or pick up F. Gutierrez. But Kazmir always has a dominant second half and that could be helpful to me. Im short on hits but I think Gutierrez or Kubel will cover fine and its a great buy on Kazmir, or he might even give up Lackey.

Do you think Kazmir will have a dominant Second half?

Should I try to obtain Lackey instead of Kazmir?

Is it worth it to give up Damon?

Help me out guys.

I think Kazmir will rebound, but not enough and Lackey will be a better pickup IMO. Post up your two teams, you guys should really only trade if you need pitching help(and have surplus hitters rotting on the bench) and he needs outfield help, otherwise there is no need to make this trade.

Also most rankings have Damon obliterating both of these pitchers in raw "value" but it depends on your situations.

help with mine too?

I don't necessarily need pitchers but Kazmir or Lackey would help me hold first place.

My OF: Grady Sizemore, Michael Bourn, Ryan Ludwick, Johnny Damon

Benched OF: Jason Kubel, Franklin Gutierrez

My SP: Tim Lincecum, Chris Carpenter, Jon Lester, Max Scherzer, Joel Pineiro, Ricky Nolasco

He REALLY needs an OF and I thought maybe platooning OF with Kubel and Gutierrez and getting Kazmir or Lackey in return would be nice. Altho I am almost in last with hits and runs......

Bump! What should I do?

Post up his pitching roster and his outfield. I think the best option is Lackey. But if he has a stud outfielder and is willing to give him up for two of your outfielders, I'd rather take that trade personally since I don't think you necessarily have that good of an outfield. (I'd try and sell Sizemore since I think the Indians may shut him down at the end of the year when they start to flirt with 100 losses)

Well his main purpose is to sell 1 of Kazmir, Lackey, Floyd, or E. Santana for my Damon. He has too many pitchers and an OF of his just hit the DL. I don't think he would give up a stud OF because he wants to deal a starter. But just to let you know he has Alfonso Soriano and Scott Podsednick in OF and Harang and Shields along with the other pitchers I mentioned.

I'd take Lackey then, I'd rather not touch either of his outfielders. I'm personally just concerned that your outfield may fall apart if Sizemore doesn't rebound and is shutdown in august. This is H2H right?
