Damon has been sub par so far this season and Kubel has been doing phenomenal. What do you think the outcome will be with these 2 players the rest of the season?
Will Kubel be able to keep up the pace or even improve? Is Damon slowly on the downfall?
In my opinion Kubel is better than Damon for the Remainder of the Season compared to Damon, but I would like to get your opinions also.
Why is his AVG so low then? So are you saying Damon is much better than Kubel, who has a much higher AVG, is also on pace for almost 30 HR and has a much higher OPS of .914?
Considering that, then yes I would say Damon is sub par.
Kubels AB were being cut at the beginning of the season. Now he is getting regular time so his #'s should improve. I think he will perform better than Damon the rest of the season other than Runs and a few RBI's, of course, because Yankees linup is stacked. Well at least thats how I look at it. Is that wrong?
You're making two separate claims: 1. Kubel will outperform Damon for the rest of the season, which is debatable...you can certainly present a case for that, and you'll probably find people who will agree with you, and 2. Johnny Damon has been "sub par" so far this season, which is patently false, and an absurd thing to say. Damon is on pace for a career year (or close to it).

I just don't see how he is going to hit enough HR and have a BA that much higher to make up for the R and SB.

Agreed.. seems to be a random comparison that is probably waiver-based. I do like how Kubel, a virtually ignored guy at the beginning of the season, at least has worked his way up to a Damon comparison level.
