My brother and i are having a disagreement on Braun's value.

I think he is. Depends on the roster, obviously. I don't think the bottom 3 are in Haren or Halladay's tier but if I could get Braun for any of them I'd consider it.

trade him for johan. johans value is low right now. although halladay is good too. i wouldnt trade him for any of the other 3

Braun should net you a top tier SP like a Santana, Lincecum, Halladay...

I know you're looking at SP's, but just for a comparison, I traded my Adam Jones and Lance Berkman for Ryan Braun.
I'd have a hard time losing Braun for anything other than a TOP tier SP that only works every five days. Braun is $$$ IMO.

Braun is a top 7 pick in almost any draft. None of those pitchers should really be taken in the first round. I wouldn't consider anyone but Lincecum/Santana for him straight up and I'd even try to get something extra with them.

I think Braun is top 5 pick material.

I'd only take Lincecum for him. But I think he's easily the best outfielder in fantasy right now and I'd rather take an elite pitcher paired with a decent outfielder.

Honestly though trade value is relative to the needs of both teams.
