So, Kubel is ranked the highest according to the ESPN guys...Should I follow their rankings and go against the grain with Kubel? He does have the best track record to stay on track with consistency.

Kubel is great against righties, but he's a risk in h2h, if he's facing a string of lhp. Eg, look at the week of Sep 21-27 -- an off-day in the middle of the week, and a 3-game stretch against the Sox to start the week. If he draws Buehrle + Danks, that's 2 bad matchups plus an off-day in the middle of the h2h fantasy playoffs. On the other side, he mashes righties, so he can give you some big weeks, too. But that sort of inconsistency is what makes me shy away from platoon-type guys, unless I have the roster space to actually use a platoon.
