Torii Hunter

Surprised that no one's posted their concern about his injury. He's been awesome this year (at a bargain draft position), and any team that has him has to be feeling the hurt of his DL stint.

I'm a bit concerned about the mixed messages I'm hearing regarding the severity of this injury. At first it was made out to be not a big deal. No more than the 15-day minimum, the early blurbs said. Mostly precautionary, with some well-timed rest around the ASB. But now I'm seeing quotes from Mike Scoscia that say he's expecting Hunter to be out much longer than that ... at least a month.

I'm seeing those quotes as well... Hunter seems to think it will be 15 days whereas Soscia is being careful...

I think it will be 15 days, 3 weeks max... but i'm not overly concerned yet about Hunter, at least the allstar break counts
For every Brett Myers there's a Nate McLouth...

Hunter (oblique) has started doing some light workouts, the LA Times reports.
Spin:
Hunter said he is "making progress, big time. It's still sore, but it's way better." Hunter is expected to return around August 1.
