Ethics question? Am I wrong here?

Postby Brave New One » Sat Jul 11, 2009 7:04 pm

So, this idiot offered me a trade: His N.Cruz for my N.Blackburn...I accepted. Next day, guy says he has changed his mind and whines to commish, commish rejects trade...on one condition, I have throw in a bat. So, this guy tells commish if I throw in F.Gutierrez, he would make the deal. Blackburn/Gutierrez for N.Cruz. I send it, he rejects it. Now the guy says no thanks, and I am left with Bubkas. Commish told him to do the deal and guy refuses. Am I missing something? In my bigger money, hard core leagues, the first trade would have gone through and guy would have to swallow the trade HE OFFERED. I told the Commish to freeze his team until he takes the trade, No word yet. Thoughts anyone? Keep in mind, this guy talks more trash than anyone. And said he is a Fantasy GOD!

the first trade shoudl've never been canceled. what kinda league are you playing where people can go back on their trades after it's been accepted?

1st trade should have been processed. You can't just let a guy change his mind after it's already been done.

This is entirely the commish's fault. I mean he vetoes the trade (presumably because he thinks it's too lopsided...though that's a bad reason) then all he asks you to throw is a decent WW player in all but the deepest leagues?

It looks to me like the commish just changed his mind after vetoing the trade. But, by doing so, he also gave your trading partner more time to think about the deal and to change his mind also.

You got the shaft on this one. At this point it'd be tough to force the Cruz owner to do this deal if he's now against it.

Him and his team should get suspended if he doesn't do it. He either gives in or he leaves. There is no way this whole fiasco should end without that trade going through. If it does, for sure I'd be out next year.

Number one Fantasy Rule, do not drink and adjust rosters/propose trades. :-t

you aren't wrong here. find a better league next year, and I agree the other owners team should be locked if they won't go through with the deal.
