Steals pickup: Fowler, Andrus, or Bonafacio?

Postby grampa » Fri Jul 10, 2009 9:59 am

Hey y'all

I'd like to pick up one of the young base-stealers on the wire, but as much as I need steals, I want the guy who will do the least damage to my average. So out of E. Bonafacio, E. Andrus and D. Fowler, who do you think in the second half will steal at the most torrid pace and who will hit for the highest avg? Or is there a better option out there?

Thanks, WHIR

I am going with Fowler. Just picked him up this morning and dumper Ianetta. I had 2 catchers. Fowler has been walked 40 times, too, while the other guys barely do.

So, I think Fowler is the best option but I am just one opinion. It's unpredictable. But Fowler is having a good July so far.

I think I like Fowler here too. I think he's got the most upside. We've seen what can happen with Bonifacio when he struggles, and Andrus is nice, but I like Fowler if you're going stictly for SB.

I also think Fowler will end up with the best average.

Bonifacio has some extra value because he can play 2B and 3B, but if you're mostly concerned about average I'd go with Fowler.
