How many "real" Catholics do you know though? Seriously, I know a number of Catholics, as I'm sure everyone does, and none of them are anti-birth control. Yeah, it may be this "rule" that's in their doctrine, but in practice it's not something I've seen openly conflicted. I mean, if you don't use birth control, how do you keep from having 15 kids? If this philosophy is so popular, as is being suggested, you'd have enormous families all over the place, instead of the average American family of 2.5, or whatever it is right now. You see what I'm saying though? I'm not trying to fight here, I'm just pointing out a stereotype or generalization that I'm contesting is very inaccurate.
