Do this trade for pitching depth?

Postby DiMoTik » Thu Jul 09, 2009 3:33 pm

10 Team CBS Head-to-Head League

My Adam Jones for his Johny Cueto

My philosophy is to use my bench for pitching only and with Carlos Quentin coming back soon (hopefully) I think this would be a good trade.

C Kurt Suzuki
1B Lance Berkman
2B Chase Utley
3B David Wright
SS Stephen Drew
OF Jason Bay
OF Shin-Soo Choo
OF Carlos Lee
U Pablo Sandoval

SP CC Sabathia
SP Chad Billingsley
SP Felix Hernandez
SP Josh Johnson
SP Tim Lincecum
RP Ryan Franklin
RP Brian Wilson

Bench OF Adam Jones
Bench OF Andrew McCutcheon
Bench OF Carlos Quentin
Bench SP Edinson Volquez
Bench SP Jake Peavy

And if you could help with two other questions that would be great...
1) Should I cut bait with Peavy? Nobody will trade for him and I don't know if he's worth keeping for only 3-5 potential starts.

2) What does WHIR mean in peoples subject lines?

First of all, I'm not sold on Quentin for the rest of the season, and second Cueto will not be able to continue putting up good numbers... He has nothing behind him... If you have a DL spot available, keep Peavy, and idk what WHIR stands for.

I would certainly not give up Adam Jones for Johnny Cueto. You should be able to do better for Jones.

I would hang onto Peavy no doubt, especially if you can stash him on the DL.
