Will a trade be processed with a non DL player on your DL?

ESPN - Yes it will. I've done trades this season with non-DL players on my DL. ESPN also lets you add/drop players even if you have a non-DL on the DL.

Yahoo - No it won't. No add/drops either until you rectify the non-DL player.

wondering the same thing. i know that you can't add/drop a player with a non-DL player on your DL because i've experienced that before. seems pretty stupid not to be able to trade though, i have ervin santana still on the DL because i wouldn't start him anyway but i've been trying to make a 2 or 3 for 1 deal so i can activate him, i wonder if thats the reason the trade i have proposed hasnt been accepted yet when i have already talked to the other guy about it and he wants it. if i have santana on the DL and i'm trading 4 players for 2 it will open up 2 spots for ibanez and santana for my team, but since ervin in off the DL now will it not allow the other owner to accept?

Correct. I made a 2 for 1 deal earlier in the year with a non DL player on the DL and I had to drop a player nonetheless. I hope Yahoo will at some point make an exception for non-DL'd players and 2 for 1 trades.

It definitely allows the trade to be "accepted" as I've got one pending right now.
What I'm wondering is if on the day it's supposed to be processed, if it will just be cancelled due to the non DL player still being on my DL.

On a side note, if that is the case, it kind of opens the door to a loophole into cancelling trades you no longer want accepted. Let's say a trade is accepted and you change your mind during the 2-3 day waiting period most leagues have. Theoretically you could find a free agent who is coming off the DL, pick him up and stash him on your DL, have him come off the MLB DL, and the trade would not go through. Granted it would take someone currently coming off of the DL to work, but it's possible.

Neato, did it require you to drop one at the time you accepted or did the trade just not go through and you had to re-do it?

I've got a 1 for 1 trade pending with Bedard on my DL (so I guess it's a little different than your situation). It did allow me to accept the trade without dropping anybody, but I'm wondering if it will go through or not.

It allows u to accept it but when yahoo goes to finally process the trade, the trade will be voided due to your roster having an active player on the dl. I have been caught by this before by having a dl player become active during the veto period thus voiding the trade when it was processed.
