When there is a 1 day holiday or when you take 1 day off during the week (if you work Mon-Fri) it is considered a 4 day work week. 5 days in a work week minus 1 day equals 4.

bah...i've been doing this since June 1st (at 80% pay )

My previous company did this and it did not go over well (I left before they asked me to go down to 80%). Everyone was pissed off and productivity went down probably 50% It would have been better if they just laid off select people. Remaining employees would work harder as to not lose their job instead.

we're a smaller company and i work in automotive, so i think everyone here is glad to still have a job rather than be looking in an over-saturated markert
