after all the hype.. all the anticipation.. I feel like Wieters has fallen under the radar. no one is really talking about him.. he has worked his avg. all the way back to about .270 and it keeps improving. he has a hit in 6 of his last 7 games including 2 multi-hit games. he is starting to show that power stroke we've all heard so much about. not just with his few HR's, but also hitting a lot of hard line drives. he's walking a bit more.. and striking out less. it looks like he is finding a groove and I say expect huge things in the 2nd half.

Homer Bailey has been quite good since his callup. 3 runs, 2 runs, and 2 runs in his 3 starts. One of the starts he pitched 7 shutout innings, came out for the eighth and left with 1 out and 2 on. The bullpen cost him two 2. His k's seem to be rising and his bb's declining. Maybe this is the time he finally gets it.
