no thats all right i was using baseball reference stats. It listed him with eight career steals and 0 caught stealings. it is no big deal

I am interested in finding out why these things are listed this way. Ernie Lombardi is indeed listed as having played over 1,800 games witout being caught stealing once. Gus Triandos is the record holder though. I will let you know what I find out.

What I find out won't change the answer. It's just an interesting fact.

Ok, here's what I got on this. It's so simple I almost kicked myself for not knowing this. The reason Ernie Lombardi's stat for caught stealing is zero is because nobody really knows how many times he got caught....there is no data for him on that stat. I referenced more than two sources just to be sure. Just an interesting fact......
