Yes. Do it now and don't look back. You've got Blake to fill in at 3B and you're pitching won't be hurt too much by losing Scherzer. This is a no brainer in my opinion.

If you can do Saunders, do that, but don't jeopordize losing the deal over it. Try Saunders first, if not, pull the trigger and send Scherzer.
