In my H2H league i just dealt my Gallardo/A Hill for Utley.
i just recently picked up liriano off waivers and with the xtra spot am gonna activate Bedard, so i felt like i can afford to lose Gallardo.
Guys in my league laughed and praised the other guy for boning me.
Isn't this a deal that works more in my favor?
I guess am looking for a lil more reassurance that this was a solid deal for me.
Thanks guys

In all fairness Gallardo was more than good enough to make the all-star team. You know as well as I do that it's a popularity contest and not a numbers thing. Otherwise Hamilton would not have made it over a guy like Hunter. Good trade for you though, it's always the best move to consolidate talent in as few players as possible.

Man, I'd love to play in a league that viewed that trade as favoring your opponent. The fact is you're easily getting the best player in Utley, Hill has never proven to be consistent (and especially at the level he's been playing at), and Gallardo - while great - is still a pitcher and I'd take a #1 position player over a #1 pitcher. It's easier to spot start the pitching position than any infield position.
