Trade options

Postby wkpdpack » Mon Jul 06, 2009 9:13 pm

12 team keeper league, 5x5 roto scoring. I'm currently 4th. We have only 3 weeks left till our trading
deadline. I was just a deal from a team that is out of contention and trying to acquire the best keepers.
His offer was Atkins, O. Cabrera, Kazmir, Kubel, Martin, Rios, F. Rodney, and Winn for my Howard. I'd be
interested in Martin, Rios, Kazmir, possibly F. Rodney and possibly Kubel. Others from his team that could
be of help are Ellsbury and Cruz. Do you think I should counter a different offer or just hold firm?

C Salty, Navarro (2 catcher league)
1B Howard
2B Roberts
3B Blalock (Aram on DL)
SS Drew
MI Uggla
CI Morneau
OF Braun, Kemp, Granderson, I. Stewart, Rowand (Hamilton on DL)
U Ad. LaRoche
P Baker,Bell, Billingsley, Greinke, Kuroda, Lee, Millwood, KRod, Scherzer,
Bench: Furcal, Richmond, F. Nieve
DL: Uehara, Bush, Aram, Hamilton
Minors: G. Sanchez

His team:
C Martin, Hundley
1B Votto
2B Cano
3B Atkins
SS O Cabrera
MI Zobirst
CI Wallace
OF Cruz, Ellsbury, Kubel, Winn, Rios
U Hafner
P Bailey, Cook, Jenks, Kazmir, Latos, Parker, Verlander, Wakefield, Rodney

Other options I might be able to persue with other teams:

Stewart for Slowey/Oliva
Stewart for Slowey/Chamberlain
Stewart for Jurrjens/Molina
Stewart for Jurrjens/Iannetta
Greinke/Stewart for Danks/Hawpe
Lilly/Suzuki or Pierzynski for Stewart
Burnett/Suzuki or Pierzynski for Stewart
Lackey/Suzuki or Pierzynski for Stewart
Greinke/Stewart for BJ Upton/Lilly or Burnett or Lackey

Please let me know what you think

Waay too much going on in this post, lol. I've never been a fan of player dumping like this, I feel like it ruins competitive leagues. It's hard to judge a trade like that too. Value wise, you win big time, so whatever you can fleece him for, go for it.

I don't do this deal unless you can get either Ellsbury or Cruz along w/ the guys you want. He's offering you a lot of garbage for an elite player. If you can get Cruz, do it for sure. If you can get Ellsbury and you need steals and you're hurting in average w/ Howard, I'd consider. Otherwise, no.

Thx for the help on mine.. btw I added a question about where you'd rank As. Cabrera w/ the other guys, I'd really appreciate it if you weighed in.
