Who to offer for Pujols--WHIR

Postby MrMom » Mon Jul 06, 2009 2:58 am

8 Team H2H--redraft
2 SP
2 RP
3 P

My roster...Sandoval, Teixiera, A Hill, Wright, Furcal, Granderson, J Upton, N Cruz, Manny, M Holliday, Gonzo

Lincecum, Greinke, Lester, Bedard, Oswalt, Danks, Edwin Jackson, Liriano, Nathan, Soria, Lidge. I've got Bedard coming off DL and I'm either going to have to drop someone or negotiate a 2 or 3 for 1 trade. Nolasco and Cueto are on WW so I could afford a 3 for one deal and grab one of those guys.

The team with Pujols is in last place and he's got Buehrle, Harang, Wandy, Wainwright, Wolf, Marquis, Jenks, R Franklin, Aardsma as his pitchers.

What to offer for Pujols? I could also target two other teams in the cellar who have Braun and Crawford. Who would YOU target and what would you give?? I'm not a good trade evaluator so I need your help, guys!!

How many util slots do you have? Is his offense doing well, or is that doing as poorly as his pitching?

If it's 1 util, I'd try AGon + Cruz (or another of -- you have plenty of good ones, so you have some flexibility there) + Greinke (or Lester). Then grab both Nolasco and Cueto (neither should be on the wire).

Disagree about not doing the trade. 8 teams, so every team has a pretty strong lineup. Gonzalez to Pujols is a hell of an upgrade and could make a real difference in such a small league. I think it's smart to look into it, and having gems like Nolasco and Cueto on the ww make it even more tempting.
