Trade for Wright, Lee, and Vazquez - Good Moves? WHIR

Postby jmcampbe11 » Sun Jul 05, 2009 6:20 pm

10 team roto league. I'm in 2nd place, but dead last in batting average. I'm thinking of make the following two trades to help. Thoughts?

TRADE 1*
GIVE - Sizemore/Greinke
GET - Wright/Car.Lee

*Would you still make this trade if he was offering Victorino instead of Lee?

TRADE 2
GIVE - Pence or C.Jones (his choice)
GET - Vazquez

The 2nd trade give me a replacement for Greinke. This is a 3 player keeper league. My 3 keepers would become Wright, Longoria and A.Gonzalez, C.Lee or Gallardo.

MY TEAM (before the trades)
C-Martin 1b-Gonzalez 2b-Phillips ss-A.Ramirez 3b-Longoria C-C.Jones MI-Stewart OF-Sizemore, Choo, Ad.Jones, Pence, Dye Util-Kubel (or Ludwick)
SP-Greinke, Gallardo, Lilly, Danks, Nolasco, Jimenez RP-Broxton, Qualls, Wilson

I have a corner infield and UTIL slot so it really doesn't matter. Plus, I could always trade Wright or Longoria later on for anotehr first rounder. The key is doing something to help my batting avg, so I can contend this season.

If you wanted to improve you batting average i'd avoid selling low on Sizemore. This guy is has been starting to hit the ball well. He is a career .280 hitter and up until a few weeks ago was hitting .170 with 3 extra base hits. He's now hitting .230 and is on the way up.

Would trading him for Wright really be selling how? And Wright is a career .300 hitter.
