Not really. That's the sort of price you'll have to pay to get AP.

Basically you're paying Braun, Howell, and the upgrade from Gallardo to CC, to get upgrades from Cano to Utley and from Morneau to Pujols, plus Wieters. Losing Braun leaves your of weak (given that you're already relying on Pods). Typically, Cano is stronger in the second half, while Morneau is weaker, so that sort of thing cancels out. You have to worry about Gallardo tiring (I love the guy, but before this season, he pitched very little in the 2 years prior).

I don't know that I'd do it (Braun is a hell of a price to pay). But it is a fair trade.

That's not even close to overpaying for Pujols. If i was the other owner i'd want more so if he offered that to you accept right away.
